Voter Information Election Day is October 26th.
Who can vote?
Canadian citizens 18 years of age or older who are residents, property owners, or tenants within the City of Ottawa (or the spouse of the owner or tenant) are eligible to vote.
Voters are entitled to vote once only, and must vote at the location determined by their permanent place of residence. Those who own property or who are tenants in another ward cannot vote in that other ward instead.
Students may be eligible to vote in two municipalities if they normally reside in one but are living in another in order to attend an educational institution with no intention of changing their permanent address.
What am I voting for?
Electors will be voting for a mayor, councillor (what I am running for), and a school trustee. Please note there are no parties at the municipal level, although candidates may have backing or affiliations in their personal lives. My campaign is fully independent.

Which school board you’re voting for is stated on your voter card. The board is based on current or previous enrolment from your address and is defaulted to English public where there is no current or previous enrolment. When can I vote?
Election day is Monday 26 October 2026. Polling stations will be open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, except those located inside retirement residences, listed below:
- Montfort Renaissance – 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
- Garry J. Armstrong – 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
- Chartwell Rockcliffe Retirement Residence – 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm
- Chartwell Rideau Place Retirement Residence – 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm
- Edgewood Care Centre – 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm
- Centre d’accueil Champlain – 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Where do I vote?

Polling station locations are determined by your address. Each polling station has on-site parking, on-street parking, and is accessible by OC Transpo and Para Transpo services. Para Transpo customers may book their trips for election day starting Monday 17 October.

In the unlikely event the voting location changes, the new location will be announced by Elections Ottawa, and notices advising voters of the new location will be prominently displayed at the old location. Staff may also be present to help guide voters to the new location.
How do I vote?
Those eligible to vote can show up to their polling station between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm with their voter card and a piece of government-issued identification that includes their name, address, and photograph.
If you lost or did not receive a voter card, you can still vote! Show up at your polling station with a piece of identification. Staff will cross reference you with a voter list.
If you are an eligible voter but are not on the voter list because you recently moved, recently became a citizen, etc., staff at the polling station will help you register to vote.
